Veronica Agard is a 2014 graduate of the City College of New York with a BA degree in international studies and history. Her undergraduate thesis was an analysis of post-conflict Guatemala situated within the histories of violence against women, with the primary research conducted in La Antigua, Guatemala at the Centro de Investigaciones Regionales de Mesoamerica (CIRMA). She has extensive experience in community outreach, activism, journalism and social media, and focuses her energies on projects dealing with issues of gender, race, culture and human rights. Her writing has been featured on The Grio, For Harriet, Let Your Voice Be Heard and other local outlets.
Veronica serves as the Program Associate at Humanity in Action, an international educational organization.
